JESUS SAID, "YOU COME AND I WILL"
Jesus said, "Come unto me...and I will give you rest." The subject of the sentence is silent. It means you come. It is all inclusive. Jesus is inviting you to come.
Jesus told us what to do - come. The little verb come is an action word. We take action and come to Jesus for salvation. Coming to Him is the one thing we do. We come to Jesus in repentance and faith and He does the work in us that needs to be done to save us. We come to Jesus in sincerity of heart, calling on Him to save us. The prayer may not be verbal but it must be the foremost desire of our heart.
We are told where to come - to Jesus. There is one God and one Mediator between God and man, the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus said in John 6:37, "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." He will cleanse you of every sin (yes, all of them) and remove them an unlimited distance from you. That blessed promise is found in Psalm 103:12, "As far as the east is from the west, hath he removed our transgressions from us."
